Cricket Darts Rules: How to Play Cricket

A tactical game for two or more players. Close the numbers 15 to 20 and the Bull, and score points on numbers your opponents haven't closed.

Players: 2 or more (or teams)  ·  Equipment: a standard dartboard and three darts each

Objective

Close all seven targets (15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and the Bull) and have the highest score, or an equal score.

Closing a number

Hit a number three times to close it. A single counts as one mark, a double as two, a treble as three.

On the scoreboard: / = one mark, X = two marks, ⊗ = closed.

Scoring points

Once you have closed a number, every extra mark on it scores its face value, as long as an opponent still has it open.

Once every player has closed a number, nobody can score on it.

Winning

The first player to close all seven targets with a score equal to or higher than everyone else wins.

If you close everything but trail on points, keep scoring until you are ahead.

Tips

Trebles close numbers in one dart, so aim for trebles of the higher numbers first.

If an opponent is piling up points on a number, closing it is your top priority.
